How do I replace the armrest?
The Ergohuman armrests (complete armrests) can be fitted easily. Just unbolt the armrest from the seat and install the new one. Complete armrests are supplied with a new bolt. Some models come with a washer and a bolt. As the internal holes are in aluminium, we will also email you fitting guidelines before delivery.
How do I know which armrest to order for my chair?
Don’t worry! Once we receive your order, we will ask you to email us a photo of your chair from the front. This will help us identify your specific chair model and ensure we send the correct armrest (or armrests, if you ordered a pair). We will only dispatch the parcel once we are sure the armrests will fit your chair. All armrests are the same price. You can order the ones you think match best, and rest assured we will make sure you receive the correct part.
The image on your product page does not look like my armrest?
You can still order as we will only dispatch an armrest matching the photo of the chair you email us. ( the photo will be requested once we have received your order ).
Are the armrests sided?
Yes, the armrests are sided. If you order a single armrest, you will need to order or specify a Right armrest or a Left armrest.
“Right” refers to your right arm when sitting in the chair. “Left” refers to your left arm when sitting in the chair.
When installing the armrests, the height adjustment buttons should face the outside of the chair for easy reach. If the chair was previously assembled incorrectly and the buttons are on the inside, you may need the opposite side to what you originally thought. In any case, we will verify this before dispatch by contacting you to request a photo of the chair.
Why are adjustable armrests important?
Armrests are an essential part of your ergonomic chair as they provide arm support. Without armrests, you will have to hold the full weight of your arms through the working day. This can unnecessarily strain your neck and back. By adjusting the armrests to the correct height, depth and angle, you can adapt them for the type of support you need depending on your task.
Once ordered, when will I receive the parcel?
We dispatch small parcels once a week, usually on Thursdays for Friday delivery. Some weeks, delivery is brought forward to a Wednesday dispatch for Thursday delivery. Deliveries are handled by DPD courier; once your parcel is collected, we will send you the DPD tracking details and monitor its progress to keep you updated as necessary. If your contact number is a mobile phone, you should receive a text from DPD as well, which will give you more control over managing your delivery.
Most deliveries arrive the day after dispatch, however deliveries to some areas of Scotland or remote areas may take longer to arrive.
How can I order grey armrests for a grey-frame chair?
Please email us before ordering if you need grey armrests for a grey-frame chair.
Can I order an armrest part rather than a complete armrest?
We only supply armpads or complete armrests. Complete armrests are ordered when they are broken or if the height adjustment is no longer working. If only the top part of the armrest is worn, you should order armpads instead.
