Which Ergohuman Chair Model do I Have?

When do I need a new gas-lift?
– When the seat is no longer adjustable, check under the chair to ensure no mechanism cables have been disconnected. If they haven’t, it is most likely the gas-lift that needs replacing.
OR
– If the seat no longer stays up and sinks on its own throughout the day, you will need a new gas-lift.
Why is it important to sit at the correct height?
Sitting too low with the armpads below the desk surface is not a good ergonomic position and may result in poor posture, causing tension in the arms and neck.
If you knees are higher than the seat base, your thighs will not be fully supported which again is not a good ergonomic position.
Sitting too high could put tension on your neck as you are looking downwards and your arms if you are higher than your keyboard.
Your legs may be “dangling” above the ground, this will restrict the blood circulation.
A functioning gas-lift is also important if the chair is used by more than one user, this way the Mirus chair can be adjusted to be ergonomic for everyone.
How do I know which gas-lift to order for my Mirus or Mirus Elite chair?
Don’t worry! Once we receive your order, we will ask you to email us a photo of your chair from the front. This will help us identify your specific chair model and ensure we send the correct gas-lift. We will only dispatch the parcel once we are sure the gas-lift will fit your chair. All gas-lifts are the same price. You can order the one you think matches best, and rest assured we will make sure you receive the correct one.
My Mirus chair has a black nylon star-base instead of a polished aluminium star-base, does it need the same gas-lift as the Mirus chair with polished star-base?
If your Mirus chair has a black nylon star-base, you most probably have the Project Mirus. This chair uses the same gas-lift as the Mirus and Mirus Elite chair.
In any case, as we will ask you to email us a photo of the whole chair after you have ordered, we will send you the correct gas-lift for your chair model and star-base.
Do the Mirus chair and the Ergohuman Plus use the same gas-lift?
Yes, generally the Mirus starbase uses the same gas-lift as the Ergohuman Plus and Nefil chair.
Once you order, we will ask you to email a photo of your Mirus chair and we can ensure you will receive the corresponding gas-lift.
My Mirus chair original gas-lift is black instead of polished aluminium, can you supply black gas-lifts?
Generally all stocked gas-lifts are in polished aluminium, however if you wanted a black gas-lift instead please email us and we will advise if available or on a lead time.
How do I replace the gas-lift?
We will email you instructions and a video link showing how to replace the gas-lift. You will need WD-40 and vice grips or a stillson pipe wrench.
Depending on how tight the gas-lift has become over the years, you may need a plumber’s wrench and might need to spray the area with WD-40 and leave it to soak for a few hours to penetrate and loosen the part.
Once ordered, when will I receive the parcel?
We dispatch small parcels once a week, usually on Thursdays for Friday delivery. Some weeks, delivery is brought forward to a Wednesday dispatch for Thursday delivery. Deliveries are handled by DPD courier; once your parcel is collected, we will send you the DPD tracking details and monitor its progress to keep you updated as necessary. If your contact number is a mobile phone, you should receive a text from DPD as well, which will give you more control to manage your delivery.
Most deliveries arrive the day after dispatch, however deliveries to some areas of Scotland or remote areas may need longer to arrive.
